Attucks Middle School is a hidden "Oasis" for your child's educational experience. We as an administration and staff are confident that you will be welcomed stakeholders and partners as you watch the academic success of your student flourish this year. I am proud to say that Attucks Middle school has improved its academic standing in the Florida Education Accountability standards and improved student achievement in many areas of the school's performance data. 

 

Attucks is a total School Magnet that has one of the most innovative programs in the Broward County District. Therefore, technology and progressive approaches to curriculum and instruction are the number one priorities of Attucks Middle School. Our team of administrators, staff, and educators help to make this great school work.

 

This year, we are overwhelmed with excitement at the student-led initiatives that are in the works. Our Science department experienced double-digit learning gains and as a result of this momentum we have a thriving STEM program that highlights Science, Technology and Engineering. Through this effort several partnerships have been established with FPL and local philanthropic Broward County Foundations. 

 

Kinesthetic learning is a major highlight of our curriculum across the content areas. We are proud to announce that our students will have the opportunity to work in our STEM classes, utilize our newly installed solar panel to gather data on our energy conversation project and craft cutting edge video footage in our own million dollar television production studio.

 

Currently, our teachers have been trained on the new Florida Standards, embedding technology into their teaching, and in high-level technological approaches. Students have access to iCloud and desktop management so that they can safely store their daily class work and major classroom projects.
