JOURNALISM
Students take an introduction to the five areas of specialization within Journalism. Students then in seventh and eighth grade can choose to focus on one: broadcast, magazine, news-editorial, photojournalism, and online journalism. Students are prepared for entry-level positions to prepare for careers as writers, reporters, editors and producers for newspapers, magazines, radio, television, as well as other new multimedia outlets. As soon as students come to Attucks, they get involved in the Attucks Fanatic, the school Newspaper, and the schools magazine.
FILM & TELEVISION
GRAPHICS
The Department of Film & Television helps prepare students for careers in the entertainment industry as writers, directors, producers, and more. The course allows students to examine many sides of the craft and discover their skills in an ever-expanding field. Students may choose to get involved with: ABC Club, AMSTV Productions, and FSPA's competitions.
The Department of Graphics helps prepare students for careers in the advertisement industry as graphic designist, marketing agents etc.. The course allows students to examine many sides of the craft and discover their skills in an ever-expanding field. Students may choose to get involved with: ABC Club, Graphic Design Club and FSPA Competitions.
